Basketball Recap: Shady Spring Takes a Loss

Shady Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Greenbrier East Spartans 82-40. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Shady Spring's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Greenbrier East, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Shady Spring will challenge Nicholas County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenbrier East, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greenbrier East is on a 18-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Hurricane a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
