Preview: Adams Central Patriots vs. Boone Central Cardinals
Adams Central is 3-0 against Boone Central since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Adams Central Patriots will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Boone Central Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Adams Central didn't have too much breathing room in their game against York, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory. Given Adams Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while York is ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Boone Central didn't have too much trouble with St. Paul at home on Thursday as they won 54-36. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Boone Central has managed all season.
Adams Central pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 21.2 points. As for Boone Central, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Adams Central against Boone Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 64-32 win. Will Adams Central repeat their success, or does Boone Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
