If Cedar was riding high fresh off their 20-11 takedown of Pine View last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Reds fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Reds' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Cedar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Krew Giles, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cedar's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Pine View, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-5-1.
