Baseball Recap: Silverado Wins Going Away Against Durango

It's playoff time, and Silverado had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Durango Trailblazers on Saturday as they made off with a 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Skyhawks, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jayden Orphan, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Marek Piekarski, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Silverado was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durango only posted a batting average of .231.

Silverado pushed their record up to 21-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Durango, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-7.

As of now, neither Silverado nor the Trailblazers have any future games scheduled.
