Basketball Recap: Pacific Comes Up Short

Pacific was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost to the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs on the road by a 55-39 margin. While losing is never fun, Pacific can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Umpqua Valley Christian is ranked 133rd).

Pacific's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season.

While Pacific had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
