Lincoln has gone 10-0 against Preston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lincoln Cougars will be playing at home against the Preston Knights at 7:30 p.m. Lincoln has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 28.

Last Tuesday, Lincoln came up short against Lewis County and fell 80-69.

Meanwhile, Preston was able to grind out a solid win over Liberty on Tuesday, taking the game 67-54.

Preston's win came from a few key players Lincoln will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kaden Bachtel, who went 8 of 10 en route to 20 points and six boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Schmidl, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points and three steals.

Preston's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-5. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Lincoln beat Preston 63-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Lincoln repeat their success, or does Preston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
