Jersey Village has gone 8-2 against Cypress Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Jersey Village Falcons take on Cypress Falls Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Jersey Village is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Jersey Village came up short against Stratford and fell 9-4.

Jersey Village saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roy King, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cypress Falls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Cypress Creek last Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Xavier Izaguirre spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Owen Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Chris Izaguirre also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Cypress Falls and bumps their season record up to 7-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Jersey Village, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Jersey Village beat Cypress Falls 7-4 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Will Jersey Village repeat their success, or does Cypress Falls has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
