Baseball Recap: Waupun Comes Up Short

Winnebago Lutheran Academy hit Waupun with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-7. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Waupun got a good showing from Emmett Hull, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Hull gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April.

At the plate, Logan Prall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Landon Richter, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Waupun moved to 19-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Waupun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they will take on Lomira at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
