Softball Game Preview: Trimble Tomcats vs. Federal Hocking Lancers

Trimble is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Federal Hocking a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Trimble Tomcats will host the Federal Hocking Lancers at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Trimble's offense. They lost 18-0 to Eastern on Tuesday.

Trimble saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Mace, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Federal Hocking scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Belpre, falling 16-6.

Trimble's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Federal Hocking, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Trimble took their win against Federal Hocking in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 19-2 score. Will the Tomcats repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
