Soccer Recap: Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Greene Trojans by a score of 2-1.

Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Greene, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson Central at 4:15 p.m. on October 8. As for Greene, they will take on Walton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
