Basketball Recap: Cypress Park Comes Up Short

Cypress Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 49-37 to the Cypress Woods Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Wildcats are ranked 157th).

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Cypress Woods, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Cypress Park and Cypress Woods will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers will square off against rival Bridgeland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cypress Woods is set to face off against their familiar foe Cypress Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
