Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Homestead Mustangs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Mountain View had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-23.

Homestead got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalie Chen out in front who had 17 digs and one assist. Chen has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zsofi Timar, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Homestead, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Mountain View has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against MacDonald on the 11th. As for Homestead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Amador Valley on the 11th.
