Softball Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss

Woodland had taken Jonesport-Beals down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Dragons fell just short of the Royals by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 back in April.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Jonesport-Beals, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Woodland will face off against rival Penobscot Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jonesport-Beals is set to challenge their familiar foe Shead at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
