Volleyball Recap: Menasha Comes Up Short

Menasha saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs by a score of 2-1.

Menasha's offense was headlined by Isabella Stephani and Annabelle Guyette, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Allison Guyette and her eight assists.

St. Mary Catholic was led to victory by Emily Weiss and Bitsy McCauley. Weiss had 14 assists and two aces, while McCauley had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Weiss has posted over her last seven matchups. Maria Johnson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Menasha's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for St. Mary Catholic, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Menasha has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Two Rivers on the 4th. As for St. Mary Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Wittenberg-Birnamwood on the 4th.
