Checotah had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eufaula Ironheads with a sharp 12-4 win. Considering the Wildcats have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Checotah's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-16. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Eufaula, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
