Last Friday, Shelby County made easy work of Selma and carried off a 38-14 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, East Limestone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 40-10 loss at the hands of Fairview. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-3.

Shelby County pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for East Limestone, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Shelby County against East Limestone when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 43-7 win. In that game, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 22-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
