Hackett faced Valley View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hornets fell 2-0 to the Blazers. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Michaelyn Freeman paced Hackett's offense, picking up 16 kills. Freeman got some help from Catelyn Edwards and her 23 assists.

Hackett's loss dropped their record down to 16-4-2. As for Valley View, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hackett will square off against Shiloh Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley View, they will challenge Paragould at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
