Softball Recap: Port Byron Triumphs

Port Byron proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Baldwinsville Bees 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 9, 2024.

Raelee McDowell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Luciana Debois, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Port Byron's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Byron will venture away from home to face off against Hannibal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baldwinsville, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Auburn at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
