Basketball Game Preview: Huntsville Eagles vs. Prairie Grove Tigers

Huntsville hasn't had much luck against Prairie Grove recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Huntsville Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Prairie Grove Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Huntsville will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Gravette, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Huntsville blew past Gravette, posting a 58-21 win. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Prairie Grove came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 41-28 win over Green Forest on Friday.

Huntsville pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Prairie Grove, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14.

Huntsville lost to Prairie Grove on the road by a decisive 48-34 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Huntsville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
