Hawthorne is a perfect 10-0 against Morningside since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Morningside came up short against Inglewood on Thursday and fell 11-7.

Ramiro Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. Ramon Gonzalez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.

Morningside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Hawthorne, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Hawthorne took their win against Morningside in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
