            Volleyball Recap: Powers Lake Ranchers vs. Velva Aggies        
        
		
        
        
            Powers Lake kicked off their season on the road  on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost  3-0 to the Velva Aggies.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18,  25-9.
  Keely Cadwell was the offensive standout of the  contest as she  had 12  digs and three  aces. What's more,  she posted three  assists, the most she's  had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Braleigh Anhorn, who  had five  digs and two  aces.
Velva's win  ended  a  six-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 5-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powers Lake will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Parshall at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 23rd. As for Velva, they will challenge North Shore/Parshall/Berthold at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
