May River hasn't had much luck against Hilton Head Island recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Sharks are taking a road trip to take on the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. May River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Hilton Head Island will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: May River extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Sharks' defense stepped up to hand Hilton Head Prep a 2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but May River were the better team in the second half.

Madalynn Baker was the driving force of May River's attack as she scored both of May River's goals, bringing her season total up to 22 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hilton Head Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Parkview last Saturday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Hilton Head Island's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 27th in South Carolina, while Parkview are ranked 114th in Georgia).

Hilton Head Island is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six contests. As for May River, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
