Basketball Recap: Ramsay Takes a Loss

Ramsay blew Hayden out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Hayden got their revenge. The Ramsay Rams fell just short of the Hayden Wildcats by a score of 51-49. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rams came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Wildcats are ranked 52nd).

Ramsay's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 26-8. As for Hayden, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

While Ramsay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
