Baseball Recap: Sudan Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Sudan can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Olton Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Caleb Groetken was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaine Carroll, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Sudan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are 7-3 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Sudan's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Olton, they dropped their record down to 5-11-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Sudan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
