Football Game Preview: Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers vs. Ridge Red Devil

Bridgewater-Raritan is 2-7 against Ridge since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Red Devil at 7:30 p.m. Bridgewater-Raritan will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

While Bridgewater-Raritan didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over Hunterdon Central. The Panthers pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Ridge played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Phillipsburg, falling 28-6.

Bridgewater-Raritan will have to contain Nick Pfennig as he made an impact in Ridge's last game. He rushed for 112 yards and one TD.

Ridge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Bridgewater-Raritan took a serious blow against Ridge in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 47-10. Thankfully for the Panthers, Ryan Turner (who picked up 160 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time.
