Soccer Recap: Lumberton Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Lumberton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cape Fear Colts. Lumberton haven't had much luck with Cape Fear recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lumberton's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Cape Fear, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-2 record this season.

Lumberton has already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Purnell Swett on the 1st. As for Cape Fear, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Gray's Creek on the 1st.
