Soccer Game Preview: Livingston vs. East Chambers

The Livingston Lions will venture away from home to square off against the East Chambers Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Livingston will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Livingston took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Hamshire-Fannett 6-2.

Meanwhile, East Chambers had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Falcons are ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Chambers pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Livingston, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
