Volleyball Recap: Saint Gertrude Takes a Loss

If Saint Gertrude was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Steward last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gators came up short against the St. Catherine's Saints on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-23.

Saint Gertrude's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Catherine's, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Saint Gertrude wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Caroline on the 29th. As for St. Catherine's, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Cox on the 29th.
