Softball Recap: Quitman Takes a Loss

Quitman blew Benton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Benton got their revenge. The Wolverines fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-4. The Wolverines' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Anna Leach made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Benton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quitman will take on D'Arbonne Woods at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Benton, they will square off against West Ouachita at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
