Basketball Recap: Neville Comes Up Short

Neville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 58-46 to the Ruston Bearcats on Friday. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 71-54 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ruston found their leader in sophomore Ahmad Hudson, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. Joran Parker was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 13 points.

Neville's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Ruston, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Neville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-63 defeat against Wossman on the 27th. Ruston has also already played their next contest, a 66-48 win against Gibsland-Coleman on the 28th.
