Basketball Recap: John Marshall Justices vs. Deep Run Wildcats
In what's become a running theme this season, the John Marshall Justices gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 93-55 victory over Deep Run at home. Winning may never get old, but John Marshall sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
John Marshall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Latrell Allmond, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allmond has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Damon Thompson Jr, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists.
John Marshall's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40 points. As for Deep Run, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
John Marshall will take on the Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moravian Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,545 points over their last 19 matchups. As for Deep Run, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Godwin is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
