Basketball Recap: New Summerfield Comes Up Short

New Summerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 38-11 loss at the hands of the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats. The Hornets were probably out for revenge after losing 32-15 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Summerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Mt. Enterprise, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

When New Summerfield and Mt. Enterprise next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. New Summerfield will square off against Douglass and their six-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Enterprise will try to stop Cushing's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
