Basketball Recap: Crockett Extends Home Winning Streak to 16

Crockett extended their home winning streak to 16 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Jayvon Bedford. The Crockett Bulldogs skirted past the Hudson Hornets 62-60 thanks in part to Bedford, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 23 points and three steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jahkiem McKnight, who posted 16 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November.

Crockett has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Hudson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Crockett and Rusk will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Hudson, they will square off against Klein Oak at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
