There's no place like home for Cherokee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 78-70 victory over the Erwin Warriors on Monday. With that win, the Braves brought their scoring average up to 54.2 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cherokee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Utsela Saunooke, who posted 11 points along with five boards and four steals. Samuel Hernandez was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Cherokee's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.8 points over those games. As for Erwin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cherokee will take on Murphy in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Erwin and Mountain Heritage will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
