Baseball Game Preview: First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders vs. Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, First Preparatory Christian Academy will face off against Vidalia Heritage Academy. The Highlanders will take on the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

While First Preparatory Christian Academy's win against Vidalia Heritage Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Highlanders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Eagles on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Chase Streeper made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Vidalia Heritage Academy is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10. As for First Preparatory Christian Academy, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-15.
