Softball Game Preview: Utica Eisenhower Eagles vs. Chippewa Valley Big Reds

The Utica Eisenhower Eagles will take on the Chippewa Valley Big Reds at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, Utica Eisenhower came up short against Romeo and fell 6-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Chippewa Valley came into Thursday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past Dakota 4-3.

Cameron Metcalfe was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Chippewa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Utica Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything went Utica Eisenhower's way against Chippewa Valley in their previous matchup back in April, as Utica Eisenhower made off with an 11-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Big Reds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
