Baseball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

Coleman came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Caney Cougars by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 29th.

Coleman dropped their record down to 16-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Caney, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, Coleman and Caney will both be playing Granite the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host Granite on Thursday, while the Cougars will host them on Friday.
