The Medina Battling Bees will venture away from home to challenge the Keystone Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Medina is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Strongsville hit Medina with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Battling Bees fell 6-1 to the Mustangs. The contest marked the Battling Bees' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Katie Rubino made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of 12 wins, Keystone's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brunswick. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Keystone saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Armitage, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Keystone's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Medina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Medina hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Keystone struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
