Basketball Game Preview: Tuscumbia Lions vs. Richland Bears

The Tuscumbia Lions will head out to square off against the Richland Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuscumbia will be strutting in after a victory while Richland will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, Tuscumbia strolled past La Monte with points to spare, taking the game 48-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Meanwhile, Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 69-51 fall against Bourbon. One positive for the Bears, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tuscumbia, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Tuscumbia strolled past Richland in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 61-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tuscumbia since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
