Oakley came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Ellis, but Aiden Aschenbrenner wouldn't allow it. The Railroaders put the hurt on the Plainsmen with a sharp 53-28 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Aschenbrenner, who shot 73% from the field on his way to 24 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.

The win keeps Ellis at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 58.5 points this season. As for Oakley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Ellis and Quinter will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Oakley will take on Hoxie in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
