Basketball Game Preview: Findlay Trojans vs. Springfield Blue Devils

Findlay is a perfect 3-0 against Springfield since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Findlay has four straight victories, Springfield has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Saturday, Findlay didn't have too much trouble with Norwalk as they won 51-33.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-13, which was the final score in Springfield's tilt against Napoleon on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 741st, while the Wildcats are ranked 224th).

Findlay's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything came up roses for Findlay against Springfield in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 58-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
