Volleyball Game Preview: Barrington Fillies/Broncos vs. Palatine Pirates

Barrington has won four straight games at home, while Palatine has won four straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Fillies/Broncos will host the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Barrington beat Buffalo Grove 2-0.

While Barrington might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Buffalo Grove scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21.

Barrington can attribute much of their success to Ella Krull, who had seven digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Palatine sidestepped South Elgin for a 2-1 win.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-14, 26-24.

Palatine's victory bumped their record up to 28-7. As for Barrington, their win bumped their record up to 25-12.

Barrington beat Palatine 2-0 when the teams last played last Thursday. Will the Fillies/Broncos repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
