Basketball Recap: Watkins Memorial Comes Up Short

Watkins Memorial lost against Zanesville back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Watkins Memorial Warriors fell to the Zanesville Blue Devils 77-71. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Watkins Memorial fell to 2-1. As for Zanesville, they moved to 1-3 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watkins Memorial will take on Lakewood in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Zanesville and Newark Catholic will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
