Baseball Game Preview: Gloucester Fishermen vs. Northeast Metro RVT Knights

The Gloucester Fishermen will head out to take on the Northeast Metro RVT Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gloucester has four straight wins, Northeast Metro RVT has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Gloucester nor Swampscott made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Fishermen came out on top against the Big Blue by a score of 4-1.

Meanwhile, Northeast Metro RVT fell victim to Shawsheen Valley Tech and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 8-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Gloucester pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Northeast Metro RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
