Baseball Recap: Lakin Takes a Loss

Lakin lost against Cimarron on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Broncs came up short against the Bluejays, falling 9-2. The Broncs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrik Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Lakin's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Cimarron, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-2 record this season.

Lakin is taking a road trip to face off against Holcomb at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cimarron, they will take on Southwestern Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
