Baseball Recap: Mohawk Area Warriors vs. New Brighton Lions

Mohawk Area had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 8-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the New Brighton Lions 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Drew Wrona made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Mohawk Area is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-8 otherwise. Wrona was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
