The Linsly School faced University in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cadets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Cadets' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15.

The Linsly School's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6. As for University, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, The Linsly School and University will both be playing Elkins the next time they take the court. The Cadets will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
