Basketball Recap: Duanesburg Piles Up the Points Against Middleburgh

Duanesburg entered their tilt with Middleburgh on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Middleburgh Knights 49-19. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Middleburgh still got an impressive performance from Payton Yung, who posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Duanesburg is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Middleburgh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons the next time they take the court. Duanesburg will head out to face Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Middleburgh will host them at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th.
