Flag Football Recap: Regis Jesuit Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Regis Jesuit's offense. They took a blow against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado flag football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked first).

Ariana Akey had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 180 yards and six TDs, while also rushing for 102 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries for Mountain Vista. Akey is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

Regis Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mountain Vista, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.

Coincidentally, Regis Jesuit and Mountain Vista will both be playing Heritage the next time they take the field. The Golden Eagles will host the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Raiders will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
