Volleyball Recap: Chula Vista Comes Up Short

Chula Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Southwest SD Raiders, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-14.

Chula Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Southwest SD, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Chula Vista will host Castle Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southwest SD, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Monarch on the 21st.
